The two managers shared their thoughts after the final whistle on Sunday.
Marko Nikolic:
"I want to congratulate my players as I do not know where they get such energy from. We have played so many games over the summer. I want to also say congratulations to the home side as they played to win. It was a good match. The supporters were entertained, but us managers less so. I felt that we controlled the game, but awarded Ferencvaros cheap goals as a gift. It is true that we did not win the game, but I am proud of the boys who gave their all. I have said many times and it is still true: We are talking about real battlers. Anel Hadzic, Stopira and Marco Scepovic could not play in the starting eleven today, and I also had to make changes during the game. Hangya made his debut for Vidi. The result? If we look at the fact that we picked up a point, then I am not happy, but if we look at it that we came back from 0-2 own, then it is not too bad. We went forward after scoring the equaliser, as we were not satisfied with a draw. We will now have four days off for the players to rest. Then I will need all the player back ready and healthy as we will have 22 games with 3 FIFA breaks, so that means we will be playing every three days. I want to also say something! Well done to the match officials. They had a difficult job but they did well in the match.
The end of the press conference saw a round of applause in the press room for the Vidi manager, which really was a nice touch.
Serhij Rebrov:
"Nobody asked the players at 2-0 up to sit back and defend. Vidi pressured us into this. It is not by accident that they are playing in the Europa League. We were up against serious opponents, so I am very satisfied with the point. We had to make a change at the start of the game and were also forced into another during the game. I would like to say well done to the players that came on. They did well against strong opponents. I know that this club has fantastic fans. They often stop me in the street and I feel the responsibility. This is now my team and I want us to get good results in the future."
