José Gomes: We could not equalise despite our many chances

"We did not start the match too well, and did not respect the play. I am thinking exactly about a team respecting a game, when they play with maximum determination. Our opponents had a two goal lead following two errors, and one of those mistakes saw us reduced to ten men. We tried to take gambles following that, playing with one central defender. We managed to create several chances despite having a man less. We also played better than our opponents. Unfortunately it was not enough to level the score, or even win the match. Things like this can also happen in the game of football" - commented José Gomes.
