The two managers shared their thoughts on Thursday's first leg match.
Imre Szabics:
"The match went as we expected. We played a tough game against a very unpleasant opponent who played very deep in defence for most of the game. Nevertheless, we created enough chances, not only from set-pieces but also from open play. Unfortunately, we were unable to convert these chances into goals, although at this level we need to score our goals if we are to leave the pitch as winners. Our opponent had an agile striker with a lot of speed, and he caused us problems, their counter attacks were always dangerous. We should have held on to our 1-0 lead until the end, if we had done that I would have been satisfied, but I feel a little bit lacking. The good play of Lüftner and Heister was definitely a positive, the latter scored a very nice goal, I'm sorry that it didn't end up being the winning goal."
Vardan Bichakhchyan:
"I am proud of my players because they fought heroically until the last minute. We played a good game at the home of a good team, I feel we deserved a draw. Both teams had chances, I really think it was a fair result. We will do our best in the second leg to go through to the next round."
