The two managers spoke shortly after Tuesday's final whistle.
Gabor Marton:
"Overall I think it was a realistic result in the end as both sides had chances to decide the game. I do not think one side was more convincing than the other to win the match. A draw is the fair result. This was our second game within three days and we are trying to rotate the side where we can. The players are not machines. I do not really know where to put the first half, as if a poorer performance was down to only physical, than we would not have seen such an improvement in the second half. We played slowly in the first 45 minutes and it was easy for them to defend against us, so that part of our game wasn't good. It never depends on the structure whether a team attacks or does not attack, but on the perception that the team is trying to play. Of course, it can be said that we prevailed in the second half due to changing our formation, but I think it was more because we took on more and played football faster and managed to upset our opponent several times. Any loss of points is very painful, even if our previous draws were made under bad circumstances, as we played better than our opponent in each match. Today we were no better than the Puskas Academy, but nonetheless, today's loss of points hurts just as much as before."
Zsolt Hornyak:
"My team struggled exemplary today, we would have deserved 3 points at the home of Vidi. I wasn’t happy with the refereeing, especially during the duels, the referee made a different decision than I thought would have been the right one. I felt like my team was at a disadvantage due to the referee’s decisions, and in the end we ended the match with a one man disadvantage. We also fought with ten players against Vidi and with a little luck we could have won at the MOL Arena Sosto. We could have had the opportunity to return to the dressing room with a two-goal advantage at half time, but in the last minute, the goalkeeper of Fehervar made a big save. We were consciously preparing to get the ball in midfield, and until Vidi returned to a four man defensive formation, our attack also worked well. Overall, my team was better tonight than the home team, I was pleased to see that we were able to dominate even against a strong team like Vidi. I would definitely like to thank the guys for their performance today."
