Tamás Pető made very good substitutions in the second half of the match, and young Bence Babos scored four minutes after coming on the pitch and was actively involved in setting up our third goal.
On Saturday afternoon we hosted DVTK in the 2nd round of the OTP Bank Liga NB I. Head coach Tamás Pető could not count on András Huszti, who received a red card in the Kecskemét game, and Gergő Ominger, who suffered a knee injury in the CL return match on Wednesday. Mátyás Katona, who has been a regular starter, was on the bench this time and MTK loanee Mátyás Kovács was in the starting line-up for the first time, as well as Csaba Spandler, who suffered a head injury last week. The match against DVTK was watched by 3063 spectators at the Sóstói Stadion.

We had an excellent start, in the 1st minute Serafimov found the net after a corner kick (1-0).
Five minutes later, the visiting player, Alexander Vallejo Minguez, was injured and could not continue the game, replaced by Gergő Holdampf. In the continuation, Pető received a great ball, but his shot bounced off a defender and away for a corner. At the other end, Balázs Tóth had to make a great save from a dangerous free kick, our goalkeeper fisted the ball away from the near corner.
In the 20th minute DVTK equalized a bit unexpectedly. Klimovicz's pass was shot into the goal by Franchu from close range (1-1). A minute later another Vidi had a chance, Kovács shot 13 meters wide of the goal after a dribble. The spectators could see one more Miskolc chance before the break, at the end of the two-minute extra time, Klimovicz's shot was well saved by Tóth.
None of the head coaches made a substitution at the break. In the 51st minute, Pető was brought down in suspicious circumstances inside the Miskolc box, but Pintér waved play on, and two minutes later the VAR also reviewed the incident, but video referee István Vad II did not feel the need to intervene and upheld the on-field verdict.
It was 65 minutes into the game when Tóth made a fine save from Holdampf's shot. In the 71st minute Milan Pető was replaced by Bence Babos, born in 2004, and in the 75th minute our young striker scored a superb goal, shooting from 15 metres into the bottom far corner (2-1).
For the rest of the time it seemed that the result would not change, but in the moments of extra time Babos did well to play the ball ahead fo Katona, which he took between the defenders and cleverly lifted the ball over the on coming goalkeeper into the DVTK goal, setting the final score of 3-1.
Vidi continues the busy start to the season next week on Thursday in Cyprus!
