KTE finished 6th in the OTP Bank League last season, but currently our opponent on Sunday is in last place.
On Sunday at 17:00 Kecskemét TE visit Székesfehérvár. This will be the 22nd match between the two teams in the top division. Of the 21 meetings so far, we have won ten and drawn four while losing seven. The goal difference is 36-26 in our favour, which is a three goals per game average. Last season, we played Kecskemét twice away, losing 1-0 once and winning 1-0 in the other game, and in Sóstói Stadium, we drew 3-3 in a high-scoring, exciting game. In the first round of this season, the KTE - Vidi match ended in a 0-0 draw.
This season, however, Kecskemét have not been doing so well, and in mid-October István Szabó left as head coach, replaced by Zoltán Gera. Under his guidance, KTE have played three games so far, but lost all three without scoring a goal. In the league, they were beaten 3-0 by PAFC and 1-0 by Paks, while in the MOL Hungarian Cup they suffered a 1-0 defeat at Karcag.
