Vidi's midfielder will face Haladas for the first time on Saturday. We asked him about his feelings regarding this game, which will not be like the others for him.
"We have spent the second half of the week, since moving on from our league cup match against Vasas, focusing only on Haladas. I have had no special feelings in recent days, with the fact that I will be returning to Szombathely as an opponent. I am sure that it will feel strange on the match day itself and that I will not be walking in to the home dressing room at the stadium. I spent many years at Haladas and I have a lot to thank that club for. Naturally, "Hali" have an important place in my heart, but as a professional player, I will do all I can in order that Vidi emerge successful. Let's just say that it will be a match with added spice for me. Most people think that this is an odds on away win, as we are the absolute favourites in paper form. This is fine as well, but we must not forget that the Rohonci street stadium is a real caldron, where no side has an easy game. The supporters there can create a good atmosphere, and this can give Haladas an extra push. The Szombathely side have that quality, but they have not yet blended together and the odds have been against them until now. Looking at it realistically, I feel that they should have picked up more points, as there were games where only bad luck meant that they ended up losing. I remember when I played for Haladas that we always played with that extra strength against Vidi, and the players wanted to always do their best against them, but it is also fact that "Hali" always raise their game when they are at home. Our job now is to continue this good run, and that will be at the expense of Szombathely, which will be really strange for me." - commented Adam Simon.
