Three important league points are up for grabs on Sunday evening as Vidi travel to Budapest.
Vidi travel to NB I newcomers Budafoki MTE on Sunday evening in a game that will kick off at 20:00pm. We have won both our games against them this season 4-1. The first was last August and the second match was in December on our home pitch. Csaba Csizmadia's side have played six games in 2021 so far. Those have brought 3 wins (ZTE 3-1, Bp. Honved 3-2 and a 2-0 win over Kisvarda). Three have ended in defeat: Paks 1-4, Puskas Academy 0-3 and Ujpest 0-2).
Budafok have played 24 games this season. There have been seven wins, 5 draws and 12 loses. The goal difference stands: 29-44. Top goalscorer with 9 to his name is David Kovacs, who last December also scored against us at the MOL Arena Sosto.
The winter transfer window saw Henrik Kirjak and Bence Mervo leave the club. Andras Csonka, Mark Jagodics and Mario Zeke all arrived with the latter on loan from Vidi. Budafok managed to progress in the MOL Hungarian Cup 4-2 away at Paks in the last round. They are in the last 8 and they will now meet Vidi for a place in the last 4. That game will be played on Wednesday 10th March at the MOL Arena Sosto.
