TOBIAS CHRISTENSEN

"We really believed we could win this match"

Tobias Christensen, who scored his first header in Vidi colours, assessed his team's victory against Sumqayit.

"I think the red card was key and after that we managed to equalise relatively quickly, which was a turning point in the game. We really believed we could win this game, that was the most important thing for us. It's never easy in an away cup match, so we expected a tough game, and it was. We're happy to go home with a win, it's a good result for us ahead of the home return leg. We want to play in an attacking spirit in the home game and we will aim to win there as well. We have a one-goal lead so we have to play smart, but at home in front of our fans we always aim to win. If I remember correctly, the last time I scored with my head was three or four years ago, when I was a player for Molde. I'm not known for my headers, but this time I received an excellent cross from Bence Bedi and I 'just' had to head the ball into the net, and I'm very happy about that goal as well," Tobias Christensen told our website after the 2-1 win against Sumqayit.
