Wednesday's Hungarian cup match will not be easy for Vidi, who will be up against a fast improving Pecs side over the spring season.
Vidi visit Pecs in the second leg of the Hungarian cup quarter-finals on Wednesday. The game kicks off at 18:00pm with Videoton leading 2-1 from the first leg. Pecs have stabilized over recent months since the winter break. They ended the autumn season at the bottom of the OTP league table. New Croatian manager Robert Jarni took over and he has led his red and black Pecs side to 7 points from a possible 12. That has resulted in them rising up the table to 14th.
The Hungarian cup has seen them beat Szászvári SE (3-0), SZEOL SC-t (4-1), Kozármislenyt (5-0) and also knocked out Debrecen (1-0) in the first four rounds. The quarter-final first leg match at the Sostoi ended in a 2-1 home win, but the away goal that they scored will give them hope going in to the return leg.
The two teams met at the same time last year in the quarter-finals of the league cup. That saw the pair draw 1-1 in Pecs, before a 3-0 Vidi home win in the second leg.
