Joan Carrillo: Ferencvaros deserved to win but I am very proud of my team

The two managers spoke to the media following Saturday's league game.

Joan Carrillo: "Ferencvaros deserved to win the match today. They created several chances in the first half, but we also had our own chances. The first goal had an effect on us and after the momentum subsided. It is also true that we had six players out injured: Calatayud, Nikolics, Juhász, Stopira, Maréval and Luijckx. Today those players were also given the chance to play that will be with us next season. I was pleased that they could play in a match with this tempo. I have to say once again that Ferencvaros deserved their win. It is not an unknown thing that a team that wins the league title will then go on to perform a little bit weaker in the final games. The same happened with Bayern Munich in Germany. The fact that we have finished 7 points clear of a good performing FTC shows just how strong a side we are. Now the main task is the upcoming preparation for the European competition."

Thomas Doll: "I feel that everybody saw today that I wanted to end this season with a win. I take my hat off to the boys who played well and picked up the result. We had 2-3 chances in the first half to take the lead. The strength of the side and the togetherness shows that the players helped themselves a lot out there on the pitch. I said after the cup final that something very big is emerging here at Ferencvaros, which I am pleased to be apart of."
