Videoton's first team squad are currently in Belek, Turkey for a week of hard training
Breakfast was enjoyed by the players and coaching staff at around 8.30am on Tuesday morning. A little over an hour and a half later, the squad were beginning the second training session of their stay in Belek. The weather was nicer than Monday, which put a smile on everyone's face, with the wind hardly being felt, and the temperature a degree or two higher.
The coaching staff took the players for a gentle jog to begin things, which was quickly followed by an intensive warming up session. Emphasis was then placed on both attacking play and ball possession. Shooting practice at the goal also played a part in Tuesday's training session. The group was split into two for the final third of the session. José Gomes took his group to practice set pieces in front of one of the goals, while finishing off attacks was being practiced at the other end. The players then boarded the team bus, following a near two hour session, and headed off to the hotel for lunch and a quiet period of rest.
Vidi will have a friendly match on Wednesday at 15:00pm local time (14:00pm Hungary), against Russian first division side Tyerek Grozny. Vidi's opponents are currently sitting in 5th place in the Russian league, so it is sure to provide a stern test for the boys from Fehervar.
