The players will also take part in their first training session on Monday evening under the watchful eyes of José Gomes.
The players returned to pre-season training on Monday morning following a short summer break. The now traditional medical check up awaited the players at 8am. They were also put through stamina tests during the course of the morning at the CMed rehabilitation and Diagnostics centre. Vidi trio Sandor Torghelle, Zsolt Haraszti and Alvaro Brachi were all not present, as they are currently recovering from small operations, and are in the process of battling their way to full fitness. Paulo Vinicius, who missed the last couple of matches in May, due to a slight injury, and new signing Laszlo Kleinheisler all took part in the early morning session.
Manager José Gomes will take charge of the first training session of pre-season on Monday afternoon, while the medical tests continue on Tuesday morning. The first team squad will then head out to Austria for a ten day training camp, which will include three pre-season friendlies.
