Goals from Roland Juhasz and Armin Hodzic gave MOL Vidi a 2-0 friendly win.
The first friendly game of the year took place at the Coini Jose Burgos Stadium against four times German champions Kaiserslautern. They are currently playing their football in the third division of Germany. Marko Nikolic fielded the following side for the first half: Tujvel - Nego, Juhász, Tóth, Tamás K. - Milanov, Nikolov, Elek, Sós - Futács, Scepovics. There were around 100 German supporters in the stands and a few Hungarians. Also present were Puskas Academy FC's new manager Janos Radoki and Vilmos Vanczak.
Vidi went on the attack and had a chance in the first minute. Scepovic laid the ball to the feet of Futacs, who his a low left shot that Lennart parried out for a corner. Vidi keeper Tujvel was also called into action after 5 minutes when Biada took a 35 meter free kick, which the keeper punched out and he then reacted well to deny the follow up. A 13th minute Milanov free kick hit the wall and went out for a corner. Nikolov took it and his ball in was headed home by Roland Juhasz to make it 1-0. It was also the first Vidi goal of 2019.
There was 16 minutes on the clock when Kuhlwetter found himself with a shot on goal, but he could not hit the target. A cross from the left after 24 minutes ended with a shot from Sos that Lennert saved, with the rebound falling to Futacs, but the keeper was well placed to pull off a double save. Mads took a quick free kick 2 minutes later, which found the unmarked Biada, who saw his shot come back off the right post from 16 meters out.
