Vidi face a Ferencvaros side in the Hungarian cup on Wednesday

MOL Vidi FC won the last meeting between the two sides in December. 

MOL Vidi FC and Ferencvaros meet in the last eight of the Hungarian Cup. The round is being played over two legs with the first match being played at the Groupama Arena on Wednesday evening at 18:00pm.

FTC manager Serhiy Rebrov sees his side currently top the OTP league but they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Vidi in December. They have since played six league games: Budapest Honved 1-0, Puskas Academy 4-0, DVTK 7-0 and 3-1 away at MTK on Saturday. There was also a 1-1 derby draw with Ujpest and a 2-1 defeat at Debrecen. FTC have progressed through four rounds so far in the Hungarian Cup. They most recently knocked out Kisvarda 3-1 on aggregate 

Top goalscorer is Davide Lanzafame with 12 goals to his name. Another FTC player to be among the goals in Roland Varga who has 10. However, Kjartan Finnbogason has scored the most goals for them in the Cup, but he left the green and whites during the winter. The Canadian table has Lanzafame top with 12+5 while Varga and Ivan Petryak have 10+6 and 6+10 respectively. Keeper Denes Dibusz has been an ever present in the league for them with 2160 minutes with Lovrencsics, Heister, Blazic and Petryak all closely behind.

Ferencvaros will have Bole Lukacs missing through suspension on Wednesday. He has been banned for two matches by the Hungarian FA. Macedonian international Stefan Spirovski has been out for a while now through injury and has yet to play in 2019. Winter signing Isael has only played 60 minutes of the cup match with Kisvarda but he was most recently on the bench in the game with MTK.
