Vidi held a training session at the Ljudski vrt stadium on Wednesday evening
The coach carrying the Videoton squad arrived at the hotel, at the foot of the Maribor mountains, at around 4.45pm. The players and coaching staff did not have too long time to occupy their rooms, as they had to quickly head off for a training session at NK Maribor's modern stadium. The club held a press conference just before training, which was attended by Videoton's manager Gyorgy Mezey, and club captain Balazs Farkas.
Mezey confirmed that there were two changes to the squad, with Tomasz Tujvel replacing keeper Zsolt Sebok as back up keeper, while Daniel Nagy is still not 100% fit. However, new signing Tamas Vasko is available to play if selected. The manager added that he did not feel that the home side would be playing for a 0-0 draw, and that both teams would have to attack. There were questions regarding tactics, as well as the financial state of Videoton FC.
The manager did not announce his starting eleven, and he will leave it to just before kick off on Thursday. The players then quickly made their way out onto the pitch at the impressive Ljudski vrt stadium, for a training session. The media were present for the first 15 minutes of the session, according to the rules. So everything is in place ahead of Thursday's big match, with the winners playing Hibernian FC in a two-legged affair, starting next week.
