Videoton returned to league action with a Sunday home match against Győri ETO. In good conditions and nice weather, the afternoon game kicked off with Vidi making several changes to the side, which played in midweek in Genk. Győri ETO went into the match having won five games in a row, which made them the league's in form side.

Attila Pinter's Győr side had more of the early possession, but the first real chance of the match fell to Mitrovics, but he failed to test the visiting keeper. ETO had a good chance a minute later, after Kamber's cross into the middle, was headed just wide by Kronaveter. Vidi then went on to have more of the ball as the match continued. Paulo Sousa's side tried to attack down both wings, but it was hard to get through the massive Győr defence. Neto did have a long range effort go wide of the post, midway through the first period. Both sides were not able to get the ball down in midfield and play the passing game during this period. Neither team managed to take advantage of mistakes by the other side. Győr manager Pinter had warned leading in to the match that his side had come to win. However, this was not that evident based on the first half showing. It appeared as if a 0-0 draw would have been a good result for them.

There were no changes at the break, but the game changed only by the fact that Győr were unable to keep hold of the ball, in the early stages of the second half. Gyurcso had a good chance after 56 minutes, with Stevanovic unable to hold on to his shot, before Liptak cleared the danger for the visitors. Győr then took an unexpected lead, which turned out to be the winning strike. Tamas Koltai received a very good pass, before hitting it powerfully low past Bozsovics, who could do nothing, as the ball went in off the post. The young ETO player has been in top form over recent weeks, finding the back of the opponents net many times.

The goal seemed to affect Vidi for a short period, with the visitors almost doubling their lead. Aleksidze failed to find the back of the net, with an open goal in front of him following a cross from the left. Vidi switched their attacking options, by playing three upfront towards the end. However, nothing seemed to come together for the men in red shirts. Torghelle went down in the box, between two Győr defenders, but the match official waved away the appeal. Referee Fabian then confronted Paulo Sousa and warned the Vidi manager. ETO's manager should have also been warned shortly later for kicking a bottle in the technical area. Vidi tried to pressure for the leveller, but in the end the visitors held out to collect all three points. The win took the visitors to the top of the league table, while Toeghelle was sent off in the final minutes.
