First Division: Videoton - Szolnok 3-1 (0-1)
Szolnok led 1-0 at the break but Vidi hit back to comfortably win at the end. That would best describe Sunday evening's first division game between the two sides. Manager Gyorgy Mezey made several changes to his starting line up, with keeper Bozsovics returning in goal. Nikolics was back up front partnering Andre Alves, while Tamas Vasko looked comfortable besides Zoltan Liptak at the back. Szolnok came to frustrate, and that is exactly what they managed to do for most of the first half. They took the lead towards the end of the first period, when Alex scored from the penalty spot.
Things were back on track in the second half, as Liptak rose unchallenged to head a looping ball over the visiting keeper after 53 minutes. From then on there was only ever going to be one team emerging winners. Vidi remained on the front foot attacking down both wings. It was 2-1 after 64 minutes, after Sandor hit a long range effort, which took a deflection off a defender to send the keeper the wrong way. Mile then tripped Gosztonyi after 76 minutes, which saw the Szolnok player sent off. Alves made no mistake from the spot as he buried the ball into the corner and secured Vidi's 3-1 home win, which takes them up to third in the table.
