The two managers spoke to the media shortly after the final whistle.
Michael Boris:
"I think you could see that we played aggressively today, for example we won the second balls regularly. We had some problems in the first half, but in the second half we managed to keep Ferencváros well away from our goal until the first goal, which we tried to block, but it was very good goal. The second goal was no longer decisive, we attacked for the equaliser, we substituted and went forward, but FTC scored the second goal."
Our head coach was also asked about the different formations at the press conference.
"I have used this formation with the U21 national team, but not here. We decided to do this because it allowed us to make better use of the qualities of our players and because we wanted to be more stable than before, due to the many goals we have conceded in recent games. This was the first week where we had more time to work together. We tried a lot, we struggled a lot, but the reality at the moment is that we have to look down and fight against relegation."
Sztanyiszlav Csercseszov:
"We have won a very important victory! We were expecting a difficult game, we knew that Fehérvár was in a difficult position, so they were not going to make it easy for us. I'm happy that we were able to control the game in the first half, in the second half we maybe lost a little bit of control, but I'm happy that Ryan finally came back and scored. We had some difficulties at the beginning of the spring, we were missing players because of Covid and three of them were playing in the Africa Cup, but I think we have been improving since then. We would like to play without any major inconsistencies, we still need to work on that, but basically I am satisfied with the way we are working together."
