The thoughts of the two managers

Gyorgy Mezey spoke shortly after seeing his side lose 2-0 at Haladas

Gyorgy Mezey: "I thought that Haladas deserved their win based on their second half performance. If we would have converted the chances that we created in the first half, then perhaps the match would have ended with a different result. Every big side has a day like what we experienced today, and I would add that we need games like these as well. These wonderful young players, who have developed under my hands, have become part of the best side in the country, and some have also made it into the national side. You need a big inner strength to handle the media, who write about nothing else than the club becoming league champions. The strength is needed to keep up the needed motivation. The motivation that we showed today, would be hard to won a game in the Hungarian first division. I am not broken though, and I am sure that we will quickly get over this defeat. We need to do this to carry on being strong, and also building our own careers."

Zoltan Aczél: "I did not think that the first half went according to how we had planned, but my players did everything to rise to the challenge and the expectation placed on them. Videoton put us under pressure, and went on to create chances. I brought the half fit Kenesei on at half time, whose ability shown through in a game like this. We improved during this period in both the attacking and defending areas. I thought that we deserved today's win."
