The current leaders visit the Pancho Arena on Saturday

We take a look at Saturday's opponents who have performed well this season.

Budapest Honved went into the winter break in second place in the OTP league. The red and blacks managed to collect 34 points from their 19 autumn league games, which equalled Videoton. However, it was Vidi that had a better goal difference of plus 20 to Honved's plus 15. Saturday's opponents have two players with 7 goals each. They are forwards Marton Eppel and Davide Lanzafame.

The Kispest side broke their trend of not going to winter pre-season camps. Unlike in previous years, the Budapest club headed off to Belek in Turkey to prepare for the spring, which included 3 friendly matches. Marco Rossi's side then returned home and won the next three friendly matches to go into the spring in form.

Jan 18., Belek:  Bp. Honvéd–Amkar Perm (Russian) 0–0
Jan 21., Side:  Bp. Honvéd–Gaz Metan Medias (Medgyes, Romanian) 0–1
Jan 24., Alanya:  Bp. Honvéd–Botev Plovdiv (Bulgarian) 2–0 (Kamber, Vasziljevics)
Jan 28., Telki:  Bp. Honvéd–Békéscsaba 2–1 (Eppel, Zsótér)
Jan 31., SZAC:  Bp. Honvéd–Poli Timisoara (Temesvár, Romanian) 1–0 (Eppel)
Feb 4., Telki:  Bp. Honvéd–Cibalia Vinkovci (Croatian) 2–1 (Eppel, Balázs Zs.)

Honved started the spring season well and won both their league matches. They won 2-1 away at MTK, before defeating Debrecen 1-0 at home. Marton Eppel has netted in both those games to continue his run in front of goal. He is now on 9 goals and goes into Saturday's match level with Vidi's Marko Scepovic. They did go out of the Hungarian cup during the week. Honved lost the first leg 2-1 at Ferencvaros and then suffered a 2-0 second leg lose.

Honved have the best away record in the Hungarian first division. Their 10 away matches have produced 5 wins and 2 draws. They have scored 17 goals away from home and conceded 11 at the other end. That means that they let one goal in on average when they are on the road. Honved lost away at Vasas (2-0), Mezokovesd (3-1) and Ferencvaros (3-2). They have won four games away without conceding a goal. Those were in the games Ujpest (0-2), DVTK (0-3), Debrecen (0-1), Gyirmót (0-4).

Two key players left the club during the winter transfer window. Defender Endre Botika headed out to Ferencvaros and forward Daniel Prosser moved to the Puskas Academy. Defender Zsolt Laczko came in on a loan deal, while defender Balazs Villam and keeper Csaba Somogyi joined the Budapest club.

Vidi won the only match against Honved this season. That was a 2-1 win away in Kispest with goals on that day coming from Roland Juhasz and Krisztian Geresi.
