Manager Paulo Sousa spoke shortly after the final whistle about how he saw the friendly match
Paulo Sousa: "What happened is what I was counting on. Dinamo Kiev are a very strong side, and you could see this in today's friendly match. At the same time, it is important that we managed to make things hard for them in the first half. They did not have any chances on our goal. I was especially pleased with our defending, and the players made good decisions in the first 45 minutes. We made good use of the possession that we had, and handled the pressure that the opponents put on us. We did not play with the same concentration in the second half, and we were less organized, with Dinamo taking advantage of our small mistakes." The manager felt that the changes made in the game changed the outcome of the match. "Today's match was important because our mistakes can be highlighted against such opponents, and we can learn from these. This will all help us to develop further. It is very important for us to play against such opponents, and we developed in our own thinking and style of play" - said Sousa.
Dinamo Kiev manager, Yuriy Syomin also spoke about the friendly game:
-We could not find a way through the well organized Videoton FC defence in the first half. The substitutes in the second half performed well, and we began to get on top of our opponents, which in the end was seen in the goals we scored. I am pleased that several of the players produced a good performance."
