Report: Honved take all three points

Match 18 of the OTP league saw Budapest Honved visit the MOL Arena Sosto. The team from the capital had earlier drawn 2-2 in October. Manager Gabor Marton chose the following side: Rockov - Bolla, Musliu, Stopira, Fiola - Alef - Houri, Dárdai - Nego, Nikolics, Funsho. Director of football Zoltan Kovacs handed over a gift before the game following Stopira's 200th NB I match. 

We began the game dangerously as Funsho received a fine ball after 3 minutes, but Tujvel raced out to save ahead ahead of the winger. The ball bounced in front of Dardai, who shot over from 16 meters. A 9th minute cross from Houri appeared to hit the hand of Uzoma inside the Honved box, but it still needed a big save from Tujvel and the ball went out for a corner. The ball was mainly in the middle of the pitch for the next 10 minutes. That changed when a free kick from Gazdag went just wide of the goal on 21 minutes. 

The visitors took a surprising lead a minute later: Rockov kicking the ball out to Alef, who returned it back to the keeper inside the box, and he tried to play it beyond Szendrei, but Honved stole the ball and Hidi calmly rolled the ball in to the back of the net 0-1. 

Funsho's cross after 27 minutes was met by Nikolic, who shot at goal and that produced a good save from visiting keeper Tujvel. A Dardai free kick 5 minutes later found itself in front of Nego, who shot at goal from around 16 meters, but it got blocked by a defender in a white shirt. A long range shot from Hidi was saved by Rockov while at the other end, Funsho sent his left footed effort wide of the left post. We managed to level right on half time: Funsho finding Nikolic, who played a nice ball into the path of Dardai, who sent the ball into the back of the net (1-1).

The second half started with a curling effort from 17 meters by Lukacs Bole, which went wide. Then Houri released Nikolic after 49 minutes and he played it in from the left, which was met by the head of Funsho, but it went over. Three minutes later and following a Dardai corner, Nikolic shot wide of the right post from 7 meters. Funsho had a chance after 56 minutes but shot well wide and over from 17 meters. Houri sent his long range shot on 56 minutes, which troubled Tujvel, but it eventually went out for a corner. Nego had a big chance after 73 minutes but his left footed shot went wide from 15 meters. Moments later and a cross from Funsho was headed over by Zivzivadze. 

10 minutes from the end, Gazdag curled in a corner for Honved, which was flicked on by Kamber and met by the head of Batik, whose header went into the far corner of the net

The 4 minutes of injury time did not produce a change to the scoreline and the visitors picked up all 3 points. We are next in action on Tuesday evening against Mezokovesd at the MOL Arena Sosto in a game, which will kick off at 20:00pm.
