Áron Csongvai made his debut with a goal, but PAFC managed to equalize in the second half.
In the 20th round of the OTP Bank Liga we hosted Puskás Akadémia at the MOL Arena Sósto on Saturday evening. The coaching staff could not count on Serafimov and Stopira due to suspension and Besé due to injury, Szabolcs Huszti went for the starting line-up of Kovács D. - Fiola, Csongvai, Larsen, Heister - Flores, Pokorny - Kastrati, Dárdai, Schön - Szabó L.
In the 10th minute, Corbu scored from the first chance into the net from close range, taking advantage of a defensive mistake, but Brandon was offside in the build up of the Puskas attack, so the video referee disallowed the goal. After a quarter of an hour Favorov scored from close range after a corner, but he was also flagged offside. Three minutes later, Heister's long-range shot was saved by Markek, who needed more bravery to save Dárdai's low shot from a sharp angle in the 29th minute.
Two minutes later Gruber's 18-metre attempt was wide of the target and in the 40th minute Chongvai confidently stood behind a 25-metre free-kick, but Markek did not have to save. A minute before the end of the first half, Kastrati's cross was cleared by Batik. It was a great chance and soon afterwards Vad II blew for the half time whistle.
At the break, both teams made substitutions: for us Szabo was replaced by Kodro, for the visitors Puljic and Levi came on for Kern and Zahedi. The first big chance of the half came from Larsen, who flicked a free-kick past Csongvai. But in the 54th minute our new signing gave us the lead! The 22 year old international defender connected well from a short corner by Kastrati's and slotted the ball into the top corner (1-0)! A minute later Schön's shot was blocked by Batik.
In the 64th minute Schön went close from 12 meters from the long corner, his shot was saved by Markek, but the referee did not see that he touched the ball. In the 74th minute, Pokorny was replaced by Christensen. Six minutes later, PAFC substitute Puljic curled the ball past our goal. In the 81st minute, Puskás Akadémia equalised with a good goal: another substitute, Levi, powered a shot from 18 metres into the top corner (1-1). After the goal, Dardai was replaced by Katona, and in the 87th minute, Szilveszter Hangya came on for Heister. It was the last minute of normal time when Katona passed to Kodró, but the Bosnian striker missed the target with the ball. In the last minute of extra time, Kastrati received his second yellow card for a complaint and was sent off, ending Saturday night's 1-1 draw against Puskás Akadémia FC.
