Report: A point at home to DVSC

In the 18th round of the OTP Bank Liga we hosted DVSC on Saturday evening at the MOL Arena Sósto. Szabolcs Huszti started against Debrecen with a line-up of D. Kovács - Nego, Kastrati, Fiola, Heister - Flores, Christensen - Kastrati, Dárdai, Schön - Kodro, while Bence Sós was on the pitch from the first minute, and former Vidi players Ádám Bódi, Zsombor Bévárdi and József Varga were substitutes.

Balázs Dzsudzsák, who was the captain of the visitors, had the first shot, but the top scorer of the national team could not find the target. A minute later, after a great move by Fiola, Kastrati was in position, but his low shot was saved by Megyeri. In the 13th minute Babunski had a promising shot but his attempt missed the target. In the 23rd minute, Nego beat his marker, but he had to shoot from a very sharp angle and couldn't get a clear shot. Half an hour on the clock and Babunski curled a Sós centre into the far post, but the goal was disallowed for offside.

In the 35th minute Babunski scored a goal - he headed Dzsudzsák's corner into the net (0-1). After the goal we went forward in search for the equalizer, first Schön's shot was saved by Megyeri, then Nego and Dárdai's attempts did not trouble the visitors. 

At the break, none of the coaches made any changes and the second half started with a long-range shot from Manrique - Kovács did not have to save. But in the 52nd minute, the equaliser arrived! Flores, Dárdai and then Kodro tried to force the ball into the opponent's area, but Dárdai go hold of the ball, passed to Kodro and the Bosnian striker made no mistake from eight metres (1-1)! In the incident, Baráth tried to tackle Flores very badly and the young Hungarian international was shown a yellow card. Two minutes later, Nego asked for a substitution due to injury and was replaced by Barnabás Bese. Loic suffered a minor muscle injury in the match - our team doctor, Dr. Tibor Kovács, told us after the break.

In the 75th minute, Bódi's shot was saved by Kovács, who came on as a substitute, and in the 78th and 81st minutes we made further substitutions: Christensen was replaced by Pokorny, Kastrati by Houri. A minute later Kodro had another chance, but Lagator blocked it. In the 84th minute, Dzsudzsák's shot was saved by Kovács, and in the five minutes of injury time, we had more corners, but we could not create any serious threat, so the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
