Paulo Vinicius paperwork all in order

The defender could even feature in Saturday's match at Honved

The paperwork from the Uruguay Football Association has been cleared, which means that the new signing from Atletico River Plate, is available for Saturday's OTP league match at Honved. The defender will give manager Paulo Sousa more options to work with as his new squad continues to take shape.

Paulo Vinicius spoke to vidi.hu about his signing: "I really wanted to move to a team in Europe, to make others aware of what I can do. Another important factor was that Paulo Sousa wanted me in his team. He was a player with great knowledge, and from whom I can learn lots. It is a big honour for me to be able to have him as my manager. One thing that I can say regarding my position is that I am a defender. I have played in all of those four positions until now, which included central defender, left back and right back. However, I feel the most comfortable as a central defender. My main task will be to defend, and I like to read the game, as well as get forward, but only when there is enough cover. It is a special thing to score goals. Luckily I have experienced this several times. My main aim in the Hungarian league is to help the team as much as possible. I feel really good in Szekesfehervar, which is a peaceful place, and where all I need to do is to concentrate on football. I am really looking forward to making my debut in the first division."
