Nice goals and a 3-0 win against Romanian side FC Astra

The opponents attacked more during the first half. Goals from Feczesin and Oliveira saw Vidi lead at half time 2-0. A lovely goal from Kovacs made the final result 3-0.

The heavy rain leading up to the pre-season friendly cast doubt on whether the match would go ahead. A last minute switch in venue saw both sides make the short 20km journey to the new location and a delay in the original kick off time.

It was the Romanian side that started more actively, and they stamped their mark on the game during the opening exchanges. However, it was Vidi that took the lead on 16 minutes. A quick counter attack ended with Gyurcso curling the ball in from the wing to Feczesin, who aimed for the far corner with composure to make it 1-0. A long distance strike from Ricardo Alves went just wide of the mark. Enache Gabriel then pulled clear from a tight angle and his powerful shot was punched away by Danilovics.

The Videoton keeper was again in action when he tipped the ball over his own bar following a free kick. The action continued with the Serbian keeper again saving well on the half hour mark. Videoton then extended their lead after 40 minutes. Feczesin seized on a free ball on the half way line, before finding Oliveira with a first time pass. The winger then cut in from the left and shot powerfully in to the corner of the net to make it 2-0. It was a very good goal from the Portuguese wide man.

The second half started with Substitute Mirko Ivanovski trying his luck with a shot, while Heffler showed good skills around the penalty area. There were then debuts for Koltai, who had signed during the week. Pajovics replaced Danilovics in the Vidi goal as the match continued. The third goal arrived after 71 minutes. It was worth waiting for as Kovacs robbed the Astra player of the ball, before showing great skill to ease through the defence and score a lovely goal with the outside of his foot! (3-0).

There was still time in the final minute for Havasi to add to the scoreline. His left footed shot was saved by the Astra keeper. Vidi won 3-0 with some lovely goals and an overall good workout. The final friendly will be against Ukrainian side FK Zorva Lubansk on Tuesday.
