The midfielder gave his reaction to the defeat against the Puskas Academy.
The team played their first league game of the spring season and went down 3-0 at home to the Puskas Academy FC. We spoke to midfielder Mate Patkai following the match.
"I would sum up this game as disgraceful. We were not counting on this to lose at home to Puskas Academy by a 3-0 scoreline. We managed to beat ourselves in a game where we created many chances. There were enough chances for 5-6 games. Puskas Academy closed us down aggressively and this was the case for the entire 90 minutes. Although we were counting on this, the way that they fought did not surprise us. We made mistakes bringing the ball out and lost possession several times in our own half. I would add that their first goal did not come as a result of this. That goal did not decide the game although we missed so many chances in attack. I hope that we will come back with doubled strength on the pitch and be more focused as things will not get better without this. I also made the same mistakes when I was on the ball and made bad decisions and I am not the exception. I also need to improve for next week" - explained Mate Patkai.
