Match Report: A point away at Felcsút

Zahedi's goal gave PAFC the lead, but Kodro equalised in the second half.

On Sunday evening our team visited Felcsút, we were the guests of Puskás Akadémia FC in the 9th round of the OTP Bank League. Head coach Michael Boris went for the following eleven players in the starting line-up: Kovács - Serafimov, Larsen, Stopira - Bese, Fiola, Pinto, Hangya - Kastrati, Dárdai - Kodro. Before kick-off the teams took to the pitch wearing pink shirts in the fight against breast cancer.

The home team started the better, in the 4th minute after a free kick, Corbu shot the ball against the bar from close range, the rebound was headed into the goal by Stronati from close range. The goal was reviewed at length by the VAR, but was eventually disallowed. In the 19th minute, Brandon's cross was headed towards goal by Kiss from outside the box and the ball bounced off the right post and behind the goalline. In the 37th minute, Dárdai's free kick was saved by Tóth, and shortly before the break, Mezgrani knocked out the tooth of Hangya, who was unable to continue the game, and the home player was shown a yellow card.

At the start of the second half the ball hit the post again, this time Brandon crossed and again Kiss met the ball at pace, the home player's header from the right post went just beyond the post. In the 53rd minute, Dárdai's 23-metre shot missed the Felcsút goal. Three minutes later, Batik headed Baluta's corner over the crossbar, and soon afterwards PAFC took the lead: Kiss's cross was headed into the goal by Zahedi, who was clear in the middle, with great power from 11 metres (1-0).

In the 63rd minute, Zahedi shot from 15 meters after a nice trick, Kovács saved, and eight minutes later Zahedi tested our goalkeeper again, but Kovács saved this time. In the 77th minute, Gruber, who had come on as a substitute shortly before, could have headed home from close range, but the youngster missed the ball.

In the 78th minute we managed to equalize after a corner, Dárdai rolled the ball in front of the goal, which Pinto flicked on and Kodro, who was unmarked on the far post, made no mistake from close range (1-1).

Our team got a point at Pancho Arena, and will host ZTE FC next week on Friday night.
