Marko Nikolic: We controlled the game and played with discipline

The two managers shared their thoughts on Sunday's friendly pre-season match.

Marko Nikolic:

I said after the last match that our game will continuously develop. I felt that you could see this development three days later. We controlled the match and played with discipline. We moved the ball around and closed down when we needed to. We played with organisation throughout the game. Naturally there is still plenty of work ahead, but we have been working together for 10 days now. The most important thing for me is that I see that the players want to carry out what we practise in training. The same applies with what we tell them with regards to video analysis. We played with passion despite this only being a friendly game, which was good to see. We will continue to work as we have things to work on. I am pleased that all of the players are showing a correct attitude to our work together.

Norbert Hrncar:

We played in a good tempo match, especially if we take into consideration how hot it was. The difference in the two teams was in the individual quality of the players as well as the decisions made my the two sides inside the box. These 90 minutes were an important lesson for us in what we need to improve in until the Europa League qualifiers. I would like to wish Vidi plenty of luck for the season ahead. Perhaps we might meet again in two weeks time and then we will be pleased after the final whistle.
