The Vidi manager spoke to the media ahead of Wednesday evening's game in Bulgaria.
"We have done all we can to prepare as thoroughly as we can for the game. I feel that the players have arrived in Bulgaria with a suitable focus. Our opponents are regular participants in Europe and they deserve the respect. However, we are also dreaming of being successful in Europe. We will need big results to achieve being successful. The win over Kisvarda did a lot of good to the confidence of the side. I feel that we are ready for the game with Ludogorets. Our opponents have very good players and we have done our research into them. I do not want to go into detail about them as that will remain within the dressing room. As always I am curious about what we are capable of at this level. We have shown at home that we can win the league, but it is different on the international stage. I believe that the team can stand their ground at this level and are capable of developing. This is a battle in the best club competition in the world. We will see just where we are."
The manager was asked whether a repeat of last years performance against Bordeaux would be enough to go through.
"We do not need to talk about that match a year later as that is in the past. It is good memories and a nice win but we must not focus with that now. If we want to move forward, then we will need to focus on the match ahead of us. We have been drawn against a very good side but we also have our strengths. Now we will see where we stand against a side like Ludogorets" - commented manager Marko Nikolic.
