Marko Nikolic and Stopira take part in afternoon press conference

Vidi take on Vaduz on Thursday evening in the Europa League Q2, 1st leg match.

The Q1 success over Zeta now sees Vidi again in action in Q2 on Thursday evening. The opponents are Vaduz of Liechtenstein with the first leg being played on the 25th July at 20:00pm at the Pancho Arena. Marko Nikolic was present at the afternoon press conference together with defender Stopira.

Marko Nikolic:

"I am expecting a difficult game and I want to warn everyone in time that we will be playing serious opponents who are capable of springing surprises. Nobody should think that this will be a gala match. I can say that both sides have a 50-50% chance of going through. We will need to fully concentrate and as although they come from a small country, they do play in a professional league in Switzerland. They have players of high quality and also international experience. Paulo Vinicius was operated on in recent days in Barcelona and we will not be able to count on him for 5-6 months. I would like to wish him a speedy recovery and the team are waiting for him to come back. The others are all fit and ready for Thursday's game" - commented the manager.

Stopira:

"I have worked hard to be the second highest appearance maker in European games for the club. It is a special moment for me. Now the only thing that counts is that we are ahead of a tough game where we have to remain fully prepared and focused throughout. This does not only apply for the 90 minutes but the 180 minutes, which includes the second leg. I feel it will be a balanced game and we will need to good result to make it through. If there is one thing that I would pick out from our run last season, which we could use this year, it would be our battling quality. We need to battle with discipline and concentrate fully. Any small mistake in Europe will be punished. I would also like to wish Vinicius a very speedy recovery and we will do all we can to leave the pitch as victors" - commented Stopira.

The press conference was followed by the final training session at 18:30 under Marko Nikolic and his coaching team.
