Lazovic scores in the last minute as Vidi defeat Debrecen

The three points means Vidi and Honved have a three points lead over the rest at the top.

Vidi went into the home game with Debrecen at the Pancho Arena having picked up 8 points from the opening 4 league games. Marko Nikolic was forced into a last minute change during the warm up as Ezekiel Henty replaced Marko Scepovic, and Krisztian Tamas took his place on the bench.

The first action arrived on 2 minutes with Debrecen's Akos Kinyik picking up a yellow for his challenge on Jozsef Varga. With 16 minutes on the clock, Lazovic received the ball in the visitors half, before releasing Nego, but keeper Nagy raced out to deny him. Hadzic had a chance but a defender managed to block. Konyves was the second player to go into the referee's notebook for his challenge on Nego. The resulting free kick saw Hadzic send an effort wide.

Vidi tried hard to break down the Loki defence especially down both wings. Nego saw plenty of the ball on the right side. Stopira played in Henty after 34 minutes, who tried to back heel, but it was blocked. The ball remained at the feet of the forward, who curled the ball towards the far post, but keeper Sandor was equal to it as he pulled off a good save. Henty was again threatening a couple of minutes later as he raced past his marker, and shot from a tight angle across the face of goal, but defender Szatmari cleared the danger. Filip was the third Debrecen player to be booked after 40 minutes as Vidi won a couple of corner's right on half time, but the teams went into the dressing room with the score at 0-0.

Neither side made a change at the break. Vidi had a great chance after 53 minutes: Henty squared the ball into the middle for the arriving Patkai, who instead of shooting found Suljic inside the box. The winger sent the ball beside Nagy, but a defender managed to clear the ball off the goal line.

Vidi were in control and enjoying more of the ball but it was Loki who had a corner after 59 minutes. Szatmari sent his header over keeper Kovacsik's goal. Varga was replaced by Maric a minute later. Henty stole the ball off a Debrecen player after 64 minutes and played in Lazovic, who from 12 meters aimed for the far post, but the effort went wide.

Lazovic took a free kick from 20 meters out after 69 minutes. Patkai flocked an effort just wide from close range as the action continued.

Debrecen then had an attack with Holman releasing Kovyvest, who from 12 meters, could not find a way past Kovacsik as the score remained goaless. Seconds later, Juhasz sent the ball out to the wing towards Suljic. The winger crossed a lovely ball into the middle, which was met by the head of Maric, but he could only watch as keeper Nagy pulled off a point blank save. Hadzic sent a shot across goal seconds later. Hadzic was again in the action after 75 minutes when he cut back from the goal line to Henty, but his header did not threaten the visiting goal.

Tozser was another Debrecen player to be booked after 84 minutes, while Vidi made a change towards the end as Geresi came on for Patkai. The 5 minutes of injury time included Suljic playing in Stopira, who left his marker before sending in a low cross, which Lazovic hit over the bar from close range.

The real drama followed! Henty tried to find a way past Szatmari inside the box. The defender ended up pulling the forward down and referee Viktor Kassai pointed at the spot. Lazovic took the penalty and sent Nagy the wrong way to earn Vidi 3 points.
