A Debrecen side unbeaten in 2 matches visit the Pancho

Debrecen are unbeaten in their last two and most recently drew at home with Ferencvaros.

Debrecen have won the league title 7 times, but only managed to avoid relegation last season on the final day of the season. The team from the east finished in 8th place in the OTP league and have not made the best of starts to the new 2017-18 season. The four games to date have seen them collect 2 points to sit one from the bottom in 11th place. Their current position in the league can be misleading. It took a 93rd minute goal to give Mezokovesd a 2-1 win, before a tight game away at Haladas ended in a 1-0 defeat. They have picked up 2 points from their last 2 games with draws against Paks and most recently against Ferencvaros. Several Hungarian and foreign players departed the club over the summer including Verpecz, Brkovics, Nagy Z., Danilovics, Osváth and Szuk no longer members of their squad. Arrivals saw keeper Sandor Nagy come in from Gyirmot, Tibor Tisza, Bence Sos and Tabakovic Haris from Swiss side Grasshoppers.

Transfermarkt.de values former Hungarian international player Daniel Tozser at 700,000 €, and he is followed closely by 2016-17 top scorer David Holman. The squad in total is valued at 6 milliom euros, which is the 7th highest in the first division. Current squad members Janos Ferenczi and Norbert Konyves have both scored goals against Videoton. Debrecen are one of the few clubs to have a better record in league games between the two sides. They have won 30 while Vidi have 27 matches that have produced maximum points. Vidi have done better in home games winning 21 of the 36 to date.
