The two managers shared their thoughts following the final whistle.
Joan Carrillo:
"We got what we were expecting, which was a tough game against a good side. We managed to organise our defence, but need to show more in attack. Ferencvaros had more chances in the first half and then went on to score the winning goal in the second. The home side were better in the battles on the pitch. We wanted to place the emphasis on our game but there were several technical errors that slipped into our play. We made changes up front as we came here to win, but those errors remained after the change. Now I am thinking about making sure that we have the right amount of regeneration to make sure we are in a good condition for Wednesday's cup game with Ujpest. The same applies to next Saturday's league game. I know that Ferencvaros have a six points lead over us, which can be increased if they win their games in hand. However, our club will fight until the last second for the league title."
Sergei Rebrov:
"We picked up three important points today. We were counting on the game turning out the way it did. I mentioned this to my players before the game. I told them that we had to press if we lose the ball and put pressure on our opponents. I also feel that Vidi planned to come here and play football but we neutralised their game. We did not allow them to play. We were intensive and played with plenty of energy. It is understandable that we celebrate today, but we will be preparing for Mezokovesd from tomorrow. What are these 3 points worth today if we end up losing them next week?"
