Vidi's young midfielder came on in the second half in his countries 2-2 draw with Romania
"I did not think that I would get a call up to the national squad, but I am delighted that the coaching staff has shown faith in me, and also gave me a chance on the pitch. The international manager told me to make it an unforgettable first game for me in the national team. Sadly we were unable to do this fully, as we did not manage to win. I personally hope that this is the start of the road for me, and that I can go on to help the Hungarian side many times. It feels as if we have lost two points tonight, but we showed that we are better than the Romanian side, and I would like us to win away. The goal that we conceded at the end makes the draw feel like we have lost. Football can unfortunately be like this, but we are professional footballers and we have to move on and get over this. The match in Turkey gives us the chance to improve. The squad is capable of doing this, and we will go to Turkey in search of points" - said international debutant Istvan Kovacs.
