Getting used to the freezing conditions in Belarus - Marko Nikolic feels the players are very motivated

The Vidi squad arrived in Minsk on Wednesday and the day ended with a training session and press conference attended by Marko Nikolic and Loic Nego.

The squad arrived in Minsk at 11.30am CET on Wednesday. The players and coaching staff then headed to the hotel located around 50 minutes away from the airport. There was a rest in the afternoon following lunch. The press conference was held at the Dinamo stadium at 17.00pm. Manager Marko Nikolic and Loic Nego were present to meet the media. The players then ran out onto the pitch at 18.00pm for the evening training session.

A motivated Vidi will run out onto the pitch

"It will be a very important match against serious opponents. BATE have more experience in the European stage than we do. They won 2-0 in Budapest in September. However, we have gone onto pick up 6 points to sit in second place in the group. We are motivated and I can see this in my players. They are looking forward to the game. I have said several times that my team are real fighters and they will battle for a good result, for the success of the club and for Hungarian football. We need to be ready in our heads tactically and we also need to be perfect in the game if we are to get the result" - said Marko Nikolic.

"Each game is important for us, just like the weekend league match, which we won with my goal. The same applies to Thursday and that is the most important. We have prepared seriously against BATE, who are a very good side with plenty of experience in the EL. I feel that the team are ready. There is plenty of pressure on the team but this is fine. If we can carry out what the manager asks on the pitch, we can achieve our target just like we have done several times. We are prepared for the conditions and to play football, whether it is in the heat or the cold. Naturally it is not every day that we play in minus 10." - explained Loic Nego.
