The Vidi keeper gave his thoughts shortly after the final whistle in Borisov.
"The weather is an exterior factor that makes things just as difficult for the opponents as it does for us. It was -8 or -10c that we had to overcome against BATE. Naturally you could feel it that the home side are more used to this kind of cold. We had to try and get used to the conditions in the first 20 minutes and we did not really have a chance in that period. We slowly took things over, which is why it was really painful that we conceded a goal in this period of the game. We had chances mainly in the set-pieces, but we were unable to convert these to goals. BATE took the lead from just this kind of set piece, which had been our weapon until now. The home side ended up settling the game at the end following a counter attack. We did not prepare for this but we do not have too much time to dwell on things. We have an important league game on Sunday against Bp. Honved. This does not mean that we will forget this game as we have to learn from the mistakes. At the same time, Sunday's game needs to be won and it will help us to steal a lead over them in the league. If Ferencvaros drop points, then we can get closer to them. Our aim is to defend our league title, which I feel we have everything in place to do. We also need to make sure that we progress in the Hungarian Cup next week. We have not given up our EL dreams. Sadly we have not take advantage of the big chance that we had but we still have a chance. Things are no longer just in our hands. We will need to pull off a massive result in two weeks time and that means beating 100% Chelsea. However, as I have said, we are not giving up" - commented keeper Adam Kovacsik.
