Filipe Oliveira leaves Videoton Football Club

The Portuguese midfielder leaves the club after five and a half years.

Filipe Oliveira joined Vidi on loan from Parma in the summer of 2011. That one year loan deal soon turned into a permanent one for the Portuguese midfielder. He quickly became a key figure for the red and blues as he signed a 3 year deal with the Szekesfehervar club. That was extended in 2015 by a further two year contract.

Filipe made 117 first division appearances for Videoton FC, which produced 16 goals. There were a further 16 Hungarian cup matches with six goals in return. He also played in 23 European games for the red and blues. A total of 19 Europa League and 4 in the Champions League. One of his most important goals came in the Champions League games away in Bratislava between Slovan and Vidi.

Filipe Oliveira helped Vidi to two second place finishes in the domestic league and one league title. He was also a squad member of the 2012 Super cup winning side (Oliveira did not play in that game). He was also a key player later that season as the team reached the group stages of the Europa League. He made 12 appearances and scored 3 goals against Slovan, Gent and Sporting.

We would like to wish him the best of luck in his further career.
