Lajos Detari's side have began the spring season well
Videoton have one of the big games of the season on Sunday, with the visit of the Budapest side. Vidi fans always look forward to games with FTC, and the weekend game will be no different, with an in-form side coming to the Sostoi.
Ferencvaros beat Kecskemet at home by a 2-1 scoreline at the weekend. They drew 2-2 with Győr a week earlier, which means that they once again managed to take points from sides above them in the table. Their first game of 2012 saw them beaten by Debrecen, and apart from the loss away at Haladas, the green and whites have managed to win four games and draw two over the spring season. They will have to take on Vidi without the suspended defender Svab, and their top goalscorer Poloskey. However, some of their players have returned following injuries, with Mark Otten also expected to feature against the red and blues.
Fradi have scored 28 goals in their 25 league games to date, while conceding 26. Peter Poloskey has scored 5 goals so far this season (Marko Simic has also managed 5 goals, but three of them came with his previous side.) News on Tuesday suggested that their manager Lajos Detari, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season, will be offered an extension as a result of the work he has done so far. Reports also seemed to indicate that both parties are very close to agreeing the new deal. Ferencvaros will come up against three sides over the last four games, who are fighting to remain in the first division. They will entertain Papa next week, before travelling to Ujpest for the big derby game a week later. They will then have a home game with Siofok, before rounding up the 2011/12 season with a trip to Paks. Ferencvaros are sure to bring a big following with them on Sunday, which will help to ensure that there will be a good atmosphere inside the Sostoi stadium.
