MOL Vidi FC will be looking to pick up 3 points and close the gap on leaders Ferencvaros.
Diosgyor managed to avoid relegation in the final game of the 2017-18 season. They now find themselves flirting with the drop zone and are in 11th place after 19 games, which puts them a point behind 10th place Kisvarda. They have not been higher than 9th place during the season. The team from Miskolc had been outside of the bottom two from the 14-18th matches until the 2nd February: Kisvarda won away in Szombathely to overtake DVTK, whose 94th minute goal gave them a point against Mezokovesd. There was no real strengthening during the winter break with only Tamas Geringer being a „new face”, having been promoted from the second team. There were no players heading in the opposite direction with the manager no longer counting on Tibor Nagy and former captain Zoltan Liptak during the autumn.
Their squad is valued by transfermarkt.de at the 5,05 million euros mark (the second lowest in the first division.) Most valuable player is 450,000€ rates David Markvart, who is just ahead of 400,000€ valued Shestakov, Tajti and Hasani. The latter is not only the first Kosovon player in the NB I, but is also the current top goalscorer with 4 to his name. Richard Vernes has 5 points in the Canadian table. Dusan Brkovic has played the most minutes this season with a total of 1620. Former Vidi youth player Mark Tamas and current loanee Bence Szabo are with DVTK. It is interesting that all three of their goalkeepers have already played during the current season. Antal Botond suffered an injury but played 12 games. Ivan Rados went in goal twice and Bukran made his fifth appearance in the game with Mezokovesd.
