Djordjic: We will have to play bravely against Maribor

Bojan Djordjic looks ahead to the big game with Maribor on Thursday

Q) I know that you were looking forward to training at Felcsut, as you had heard a lot about it. Is this what you expected of the complex?

A) Yes, it has made a big impression on me: The surroundings are beautiful, and the whole complex is nice, as are the pitches, which are good. I would also include the test pitches as well. Everything is in place to help the youngsters develop and for the more experienced players to sharpen up what they know. The food at the Alcsut hotel is perfect, and everything is set in place for us to be able to relax. It is good to see that Videoton are a serious club in all areas. The only thing that we have to do is win the league championship, and to make everyone happy with the way we play.

Q) What is the morale like of the team as they look forward to the NK Maribor game?

A) Good. The Europa League is an international challenge, and everyone is really preparing, as this will be the season's first major game. Lets not talk about the Super Cup final with Debrecen, as I heard that they were entitled to win the cup without even playing. These two games with Maribor will be decisive, and maybe the result will put a stamp on the whole season. The pitch in Győr is a little hard, but I think it is good, and I had the chance to experience it for myself. We have nothing else to do but to play the kind of football that the manager expects from us.

Q) Just how much of a disadvantage is it to be playing the home leg at another stadium?

A) For me personally, it makes very little difference as I have yet to play at the Sostoi stadium in Fehervar. Perhaps the team will see it as a slight disadvantage, but as we are still playing in Hungary, it should not be a big surprise for the others. We will have to play bravely.
