Bernard Casoni: We have to convert our chances and not concede

Vidi manager spoke ahead of Tuesday's important first leg match.

"I hope that we will perform well in the Champions League match on Tuesday evening. I would just like to comment on Saturday's league match to say that we created several chances. We will be trying to do the same in tonight's match. However, we will need to convert the chances that come our way. It will be a higher quality game and the players will have to be ready and focused. If we go out on to the pitch with the right confidence, and believe in ourselves and our work, that will bring its result. So I feel that it is in our hands as to whether we go through. We must not forget that it will be decided over two games. We need to prepare for this both mentally and physically. We have watched the two previous CL games of BATE. They appear to be a team that can be beaten but only if we go out and perform. I do not know how our opponents will prepare tactically. Our aim is to have as much tempo in our game, and whichever way our opponents end up playing, we will be able to respond to the situation. If we can get through the match without conceding a goal, we can go in to the second leg with a positive mind" - commented Bernard Casoni.
