2-0 defeat away at Ferencvaros on Sunday evening

Ferencvaros collected the points with a home win at the Groupama Arena.

Our team were in action on Sunday evening at the home of Ferencvaros in match 20 of the OTP league. Manager Gabor Marton chose the following side: Rockov - Bolla, Rus, Musliu, Fiola - Alef, Pinto - Nego, Houri, Funsho - Petryak. Stopira was forced to miss the game with a slight injury.

We started the game well at the Groupama Arena with Alef playing through Petryak on 6 minutes, but his shot went across the goal. Three minutes later and Rockov almost lost the ball in his box as Boli stole it off him, but the keeper saved well to make up for the error. With 11 minutes on the clock, it was the home side that went in front: Siger playing the ball forward and above the head of Rus, for Uzuni to pounce on it and place the ball beyond the helpless Rockov (1-0). Heister had a 28th minute shot that went wide of the post.

Ten minutes later and Boli was played in and from a tight angle, saw the ball go across the face of the goal. Uzuni took a free kick for the home side from a very dangerous position. His 30 minute free kick from 19 meters was blocked by the wall. Nego aimed at goal from 22 meters on 34 minutes, but his shot failed to hit the target. The same applied to Funsho as the winger shot wide from 17 meters shortly after. Just before the break, Houri sent a ball forward towards Pinto, who shot over from close range.

Boli had the first chance of the second half after 57 minutes. He shot from 5 meters but it ended up with Rockov dealing with it. FTC doubled their lead after 61 minutes. Boli playing in Tokmac who made no mistake by placing the ball into the bottom right corner (2-0).

Adrian Rus was sent off after 69 minutes and that saw Vidi down to ten men after the defender saw yellow for the second time. Lovrencsics crossed for Kharatin to shoot into the side netting after 70 minutes. Funsho dribbled and then shot to force a save from Dibusz six minutes later. Funsho again had a chance on goal following a lovely ball from Nikolic, but the forward sent his shot over the bar. The match fizzled out and it was FTC that emerged 2-0 winners at the Groupama Arena.

Vidi are next in action in the MOL Hungarian Cup on Wednesday evening. That game will kick off at 19:45pm for a place in the last 16.
