"Our aim is to develop"

Videoton played very well in their first friendly match against FC Basel. The Champions League side managed to win the friendly, thanks to a lucky goal. The Impact cup begins tomorrow, with Vidi up against stronger opponents, and they will have to work hard to keep with the others. 

- The result is always important, as victory is always the aim in all matches. The most important part of the impact cup is for us to develop. Our players will have to compete against stronger opposition, as this is the only way we can step forward, and get to the level they are at now. If I see from my players in the impact cup, the things we are learning on the training pitch, and practicing, then I will be satisfied - said manager Paulo Sousa before the final training session before Sunday's match.

Our first opponents will be Lithuanian side Ekranas, who are ahead of us in the FIFA rankings.

- We do not have too much information about them, but we are talking about a side that are champions, and that should suggest a lot. I am sure that the match will not be easy at all against them. We will be concentrating on our own game, and we will play the football that we know, and which we would like to practice. I hope that this will mean a victory for us - continued the manager.
