Wisla Krakow emerge 1-0 winners in Tuesday's friendly

Vidi played their second pre-season friendly in Spain on Tuesday.

The second friendly of the Spanish training camp saw 13 times Polish champions Wisla Krakow face Videoton at a local training pitch instead of the Benidorm stadium. Manager Marko Nikolic chose the following starting eleven: Tujvel – Fiola, Juhász, Tóth Bence, Stopira – Nego, Nikolov, Varga József, Anel Hadzic – Kovács István, Lazovics.

A 14th minute Kovacs free kick was headed in to the middle by Juhasz, with the ball reaching Stopira, who turned it into the back of the net, but the assistant referee flagged for offside. Another free kick after 20 minutes had Lazovic standing behind the ball. His shot was heading towards the bottom corner, but keeper Buchalik saved well to deny him. Tujvel in the Vidi goal moved well to come out of his goal and stop Kolar from taking the ball past him. Kolar again posed a threat on 36 minutes, but Tujvel did not have to save this effort. Vidi's Slovakian keeper pulled off a lovely save five minutes later from an Arsenic header. Wisla took the lead on half time when former Videoton midfielder Nikola Mitrovic, took a free kick that nestled in the back of the net (0-1).

A different side came out for the second half with: Tujvel, Fiola, Juhász, Stopira, Nikolov, Anel Hadzic, Loic Nego and Danko Lazovic being replaced by Kovácsik, Bolla, Mocsi Attila, Tamás, Réti, Pátkai, Szabó and Elvir Hadzic.

The second period started with a chance for Wisla, but the Polish side next had an effort on goal after 61 minutes when Carlitos' cross ended with Boguski hitting the post. Tamas then went down the left 5 minutes later before his cross into the middle towards Kovacs, saw him make contact with the Polish defender, but the referee waved play on. There were no chances on either goal in the remaining 20 minutes and it was Krakow who won the friendly by a single goal.

Videoton are next in friendly action on the 26th January when they face FC CFR 1907 Cluj.
