Marko Nikolic: I can have no complaints with the player's attitude

The two managers shared their thoughts on Tuesday's friendly game in Benidorm.

Marko Nikolic:
"It was a difficult game for us. As I said after the first friendly match, we do not have experienced players that can come on at this moment. The second half saw us play a very young side. It is clear that we need to strengthen and bring in 2-3 players. We need attacking players especially as both Geresi and Scepovic have not been able to train. We have only scored once in the two games here and that was from a penalty. I cannot have any complaints about the attitude shown by the players. They are working very hard in training and this is important. It is very important for the club that the young players gain experience. However, it is important that we quickly strengthen if we are to win the league. We need time for those players to come in and settle. We still have time until our first league game and we do not really look at form in games like these. The Hungarian league season is one of the last in Europe to resume along with Slovenia. We are in the most difficult part of pre-season for the players. There are very tough training sessions and they are not that fresh. I can say that they are tired. We will be in form for the second training camp. Now the legs are tired and we have to take this into consideration, but it is a fact that we do need to make our squad stronger."

Joan Carillo:
"It was a very special feeling to play against Vidi, even if it was only a friendly game. I am pleased with the win and that for 90 minutes, we controlled the game, but the result in matches like these are not the most important. At the same time it was a useful game and it serves our preparations well. We still need to work hard but I can see that we are heading in the right direction. Several of my former players were playing for Videoton and there were also some familiar faces in the coaching team. I was pleased to meet up with them before and after the game. There were smiles on all the faces I spoke with and there was one on mine too. I would like to wish Videoton the best for the league season!"
