Saturday's match will be the game of the weekend with 8010 minutes having been played between the two sides over the years.
A total of 20 matches have been drawn between the two sides over the years, with MTK winning 35 and Vidi coming out on top in 34 games. It is interesting to note that it is Videoton that has the better goalcoring record with 134 goals scored and 114 conceded.
This will be the 45th match in Budapest: The blue and whites have won 24 of those in the capital, while 9 have been drawn and the remaining 11 won. The goal count reads 67-54 in the favour of MTK.
The overall winning record would be equalled in the event that Videoton beat MTK on Saturday. The balance would also swing Vidi's way in terms of the goal count. The current record between the two sides looks like this:

First league match:
The two sides first met on the 9th June 1968 in the first division. The game was played at the MTK stadium, and ended in a 3-1 home win. The Vidi goal that day came from Laszlo Karsai.
First Vidi win:
The first win arrived quickly in the same season in the return match in Szekesfehervar. The match was played on the 24th November 1968. Goals from Pinter and Bodnar gave Vidi a 2-0 win.

Biggest recorded win:
The came during the current season back in the autumn at the Sostoi stadium. A 5-0 win is the biggest win over the blue and whites. There have been four matches that have seen wins by a four goal difference. The first was in season 1982-83 when goals from Zsinka, Szabo, Csuhay, Csongradi, Disztl and Majer helped Vidi on their way to a 6-2 win. The next big win came in March 1985 with a Szabo and Burcso double in a 4-0 win. The same scoreline was achieved in September 1988, thanks to a Petres hatrick and a Jonas goal. A further 4-0 win was recorded on the 17th April 2009, when three goals from Goran Vujovics and a Szakaly strike gave Vidi a good win.
Most goals scored in a league match:
The 89 matches to date have seen two games that have produced 8 goals in total. The first of those was in 1985 in a 6-2 win, which has been covered above. The other 8 goal game was on the 29th April 2007 in Szekesfehervar when a 5-3 win over MTK took place. The goals that day came from Juszuf and Dajics with 2 each. Nagy also scored as did in the good win.
Best individual performance:
Two Vidi players share these fete, with Tamas Petres and Goran Vujovics both having scored three goals against the capital side. Petres hit his three on the 14th September 1988, in a 4-0 win over MTK. Vujovics put three in to the MTK net on the 17th April 2009.
Jozsef Szabo has scored the most goals against MTK over the years. The legendary striker has scored a total of 10 goals. The current squad included Nikolics on 4 goals, Kovacs with 2 and Gyurcso, Feczesin, Sandor and Alvarez all having a goal to their names.
