The two managers shared their thoughts on Saturday's OTP league fixture.
Joan Carrillo: Several of our key players did not play in the match, but those who came in worked well, and solved the task. The pitch was not the best quality, which did not suite our game well. We beat a very good side and tough opponents, with MTK made up of good technical and quick players, who also have an excellent manager in the form of Jozsef Garami. The deciding factor was the sending off, which changed the shape of the match, with MTK placing a greater emphasis on defending. However, it is true to say that they did not give up attacking either. Both sides wanted to win so it was a good match to watch. We had to try hard to get the goal, which we finally managed. I am pleased that Feczesin scored the goal, and he has been working hard each day so he deserves it. I would still stress that it was the team that won the game. The win is important, but it has not decided the title, and there is still a long journey until then.
Garami József: Our players fought well, and at times played well, but we could not convert the chances. We had to really battle after the sending off in order that we did not concede a goal. Videoton have very good players. We also tried to hit attacks, but sadly without much success. I am satisfied with what I saw despite the result. Our squad is not too big, and things will not be any easier with the injuries and sending off today. That will make things tough in our next game against Ferencvaros.
