Vidi travel to seventh in the league Vasas

Vasas have made a mixed start to the season and lost their most recent game away at Ferencvaros.

Vasas just about managed to remain in the first division at the end of season 2015-16. They then ended up celebrating third place a year later in season 2016-17. Vidi did not have too much success against the Budapest side last season. The three league games produced two defeats and a draw. Both losses came in the home games at Felcsut.

This season has seen an indifferent run of results despite the success of a year earlier. They lost the season opener away at DVTK before three wins against Balmaz, Puskas and Paks. There was also a drawn game with Mezokovesd and three defeats to Ujpest, DVSC and most recently Ferencvaros. 70% of their points have been picked up in home games. They have scored 10 goals but conceded 14 at the other end. Top goalscorer with 3 goals to his name is Tamas Kulcsar.

Several key players departed over the summer. Those included Zsolt Korcsmar, Attlia Osvath and Mahir Saglik. Arrivals were Vít Benes (SK Jablonec), Lubos Kamenar (Slask Wroclaw), Jan Simunek (Dukla Praha), and loan signing Nikolaosz Vergosz (Olympiakosz) and Balint Vogyicska (MTK).

Last seasons third place finish saw them qualify for the Europa League. However, their European journey ended at the first hurdle with a 7-3 aggregate defeat to Israeli side Beitar Jerusalem.
